Plastic Surgeon Fort Lauderdale Dr. Stokes

After growing up in South Florida, Dr. Tracey H. Stokes left to attend Harvard University where she graduated with honors. She went on to receive her medical degree with honors at Cornell University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Stokes then completed her general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Duke University Medical Center, one of the premier Plastic Surgery training programs in the country. Dr. Stokes continued to pursue her interest in aesthetic and oculoplastic surgery with additional specialized fellowship training at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing her training, Dr. Stokes returned to South Florida and joined Himmarshee Surgical Partners in Fort Lauderdale.

Dr. Stokes practices the full spectrum of plastic surgery focusing on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. She is also actively involved in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast following breast cancer and has helped many women in their battle against breast cancer. Every October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Stokes gives several lectures on breast cancer reconstruction.

Dr. Stokes is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition, she is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society, and the Association of Women Surgeons. Dr. Stokes has published numerous papers on plastic surgery and keeps up-to-date on the current trends by regularly attending both local and national plastic surgery meetings.

As well as having meticulous surgical skills, Dr. Stokes brings a woman’s touch and understanding to the practice of plastic surgery. She is committed to providing the highest quality of care to each and every patient. Her philosophy is to develop an individualized care plan to meet the needs of each patient with the utmost compassion and concern in a setting of comfort and confidentiality.

Dr. Stokes and her husband, Dr. Ari Silverstein, currently live in Lighthouse Point, Florida, with their beautiful daughters, Sydney and Sloane.
